Case: State v. B.C.R. (Hillsborough)
Charges: DUI, Driving with Suspended or Revoked License
Date: November 2, 2022
Outcome: DUI REDUCED to Reckless Driving, DISMISSED DWLSR
Description: B.C.R. had previously been arrested and charged with a DUI in Hillsborough County in 2017. We got that charge DISMISSED entirely. Therefore, this DUI came in as a First and not a Second DUI. B.C.R. was stopped for a suspended license and bad driving. B.C.R. had multiple signs of impairment, admitted to smoking marijuana “a couple hours” before driving, and blew 0.044/0.043. A lot of negotiations later, the State REDUCED the DUI to RD and dropped the DWLSR altogether.
