Case: State v. J.A. (Pinellas County)
Charges: Burglary (Felony)
Date: September 28, 2023
Outcome: REDUCED to Criminal Mischief (MM)
Description: J.A. kicked open the door to a business and was found inside the building and J.A. was arrested for Burglary. J.A. contacted us, and pre-filing we contacted the State and got them to file the charge as a misdemeanor Criminal Mischief. The State fought us for an Adjudication of Guilt and 10 days in jail, but we persisted with a tough judge and got J.A. a withhold of adjudication and time served (no jail, no probation). It was the right result due to numerous factors and J.A. was very happy.
