Case: State v. P.M.R. (Hillsborough County)
Charges: DUI, Failure to stop at steady red, and DL not carried
Date: June 29, 2023
Outcome: DUI REDUCED to Reckless Driving and Withhold of Adjudication, DISMISSAL of tickets
Description: P.M.R. was stopped by police for weaving out of her lane and running a red light. P.M.R. showed multiple signs of impairment, including very slurred speech on the video. P.M.R. performed poorly on Field Sobriety Exercises and refused to provide a breath sample. Ultimately, we negotiated a reduction to a Reckless Driving with a Withhold of Adjudication (meaning P.M.R. was not formally convicted and no points on P.M.R.’s license). Each of the Traffic Court Results infractions were DISMISSED, saving P.M.R. an additional $374.00 and points on P.M.R.’s license.
