Type: Possession of Marijuana – Withhold of Adjudication
Practice Area:Criminal defense
Date: 2015-06-04
Outcome: Minimum sentence allowable by law – kept their driver’s license.
Description: Our client was arrested for Possession of Marijuana. During a traffic stop, the police found a mason jar containing several grams of marijuana in plain view in his vehicle. Our client had a previous drug charge in the past, and was looking at an adjudication of guilt, which would result in him losing his driver’s license for two years. We were able to negotiate with the prosecutor and get the absolute minimum sentence allowable by law – a withhold of adjudication and court costs. Our client was very happy and was able to keep his license.
