Case: State v. J.S. (Hernando)
Charges: DUI Possession of Marijuana
Date: 2017-12-01
Outcome: Dui reduced to Reckless Driving Withhold of Adjudication on POM
Description: After a crash, J.S. admitted to smoking marijuana and that J.S. should not be driving. We provided the State with extensive mitigation, including a 20-page letter with exhibits and medical records, requesting a reduction. The State agreed with our request to reduce the DUI to a Reckless Driving and provided a withhold of adjudication on the POM so that J.S.’s would not be convicted of the crime or suffer a driving privilege suspension.
